You Are What You Think

The Law of Attraction, Power of Positive Thinking, The Secret...all of these books and principles lead to the same basic conclusion: You Are What You Think!  Or as author and speaker, Rita Davenport says, "What you think about, you bring about!" The truth is that every thought creates energy frequencies. Where is your frequency and emotion right now?

Are you on a high, positive frequency? Or a low, negative frequency?

Shad Helmstetter, Ph.D. points out in his amazing book, What To Say When You Talk To Yourself

"It all starts with our programming! What we have accepted from the outside world, or fed to ourselves, has initiated a natural cause and effect chain reaction ... It is our programming that sets up our beliefs, and the chain reaction begins... 1. Programming creates beliefs. 2. Beliefs create attitudes. 3. Attitudes create feelings. 4. Feelings determine actions. 5. Actions create results."

If you are not getting the results you desire in your life, it very well possibly traces all the way back to your internal beliefs and programming. Shad's recommendation is to change your internal programming by changing your self-talk! So as we embark on this next 63 days journey, I'm going to put that out there as the first ground rule! Eliminate the negative self-talk. Put a rubber band on your wrist and snap it every time you have a negative thought, particularly if it's negative self-talk.  Try it.  It works. You might have a sore arm by the end of the day, but it will bring your awareness to the negativity that's permeating your head.
